Dr Katyas results...

Dr. Katya is having amazing results...

1️⃣ I used to think it was in my genetics to be heavy. I used to think I was “big-boned”.

2️⃣ I used to be tired/fatigued all the time no matter how much sleep I got.

3️⃣ I used to crave sugary sweets.

4️⃣ I used to rely on energy drinks to get through the day.

5️⃣ I used to get out of breath by just walking around and especially going upstairs.

6️⃣ I used to hide behind baggy clothes.

7️⃣ I used to dread being picked as a bridesmaid since that meant wearing a dress.

8️⃣ I used to yo-yo diet just to give up and gain more weight than I lost.

The beauty of all these points is that they’re in the PAST!

I no longer “diet”. I no longer crave sugary sweets or energy drinks.  I now have endless energy, enough to even workout after an 11-hour workday.

Truth is I am tall, but I have a relatively small frame. I was just carrying around a lot of visceral fat, and I was in denial about that.

I’m smaller now than I was even in Jr High and High School when I was active and played sports.

It all really has to do with my nutrition.

It’s been a complete game changer. Life is way different now. I’m now living life instead of just going through the everyday motions.

Like I said before .. it has made me a better doctor and person because I took care of myself first. ♥️

I’m forever grateful I said “yes” to this lifestyle.

Don’t...

Don’t be held captive by your thoughts... #motivationalmonday This hit me like a brick.  For so long I let myself be a prisoner by my thoughts, how I felt when I looked in the mirror, insecurities, lack of self confidence and now I feel like a whole new person!  I’m thankful that Jesus helped me through some of my darkest storms. Even when I feel alone, I know He is right beside me. Not to mention the amazing family I’ve been gifted.  I’m truly blessed.   Life is important. 👉 YOU 👈 are important.   Hope you have an awesome day and Happy New Year!

How important is breakfast...

Eight Reasons to Start Your Day With a Protein-Dense Shake.....  Your mom always told you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Of course, mom’s always right. But does the science back her recommendation up? From an array of studies, scientists have demonstrated the efficacy of breakfast for a variety of health benefits. The number of these benefits also increase if that early morning meal is higher in protein, particularly in the form of a protein-dense shake. Here is a running list that should give you more reasons to start every day with a nutritious, high-protein meal. Or, better yet, a protein-dense meal-replacement shake: 1. Improved Concentration and Memory From large observational trials, mainly targeted toward children, breakfast is shown to be strongly associated with improved concentration and memory (1) Scientists suggest that this is due to breakfast’s immediate impact on blood sugar to fuel young brains (2,3). In one of the largest systemat...
