How Creatine Works

Creatine is generally not recommended on an Isagenix Cleanse Day — and here’s why:

🧪 What a Cleanse Day Is:

Isagenix Cleanse Days are intermittent fasting days designed to support cellular detoxification and metabolic reset, using specific Cleanse for Life® products, herbal teas, and light snacks like IsaDelights (if used) or Snack Bites. The goal is to give your body a break from digestion and allow natural detox processes to kick in.

🏋️ What Creatine Does:

Creatine supports muscle performance, energy production, and hydration in muscle cells — typically used around workout days or during muscle-building phases. It pulls water into the muscles and encourages short-term strength gains, which is counter to the rest and reset focus of a Cleanse Day.

🚫 Why Creatine Isn’t Ideal on a Cleanse Day:

  • It may interfere with the fasting state by stimulating cellular activity.
  • It can cause water retention, which might mask the scale results or detox symptoms.
  • It’s not in alignment with the Cleanse Day goal of reducing the body’s metabolic load.

✅ What to Do Instead:

  • Stick to Cleanse for Life®, Ionix Supreme, approved Cleanse Day snacks (like Snack Bites or bone broth), herbal teas, and plenty of water.
  • Use creatine only on Shake Days or workout days, ideally in the morning or around training for best results.
