Grilled Chicken & Broccoli Bowls with Creamy Garlic Sauce


A balanced, flavorful dish perfect for a healthy lunch or dinner.


Ingredients


Chicken:

 • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

 • 1 tbsp olive oil

 • 1 tsp paprika

 • ½ tsp garlic powder

 • ½ tsp onion powder

 • Salt and pepper to taste

 • Juice of ½ lemon


Broccoli:

 • 2 cups broccoli florets

 • 1 tbsp olive oil

 • Salt and pepper to taste


Optional Base:

 • 1 cup cooked rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice


Creamy Garlic Sauce:

 • 2 tbsp butter

 • 4 cloves garlic, minced

 • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour

 • 1 cup milk (or half & half for extra creaminess)

 • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

 • Salt and pepper to taste

 • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)


Directions

 1. Prepare & Cook Chicken

 • In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

 • Coat chicken and marinate for 15–30 minutes.

 • Grill over medium-high heat for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Let rest, then slice.

 2. Cook Broccoli

 • Toss florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

 • Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, or steam until tender.

 3. Make the Sauce

 • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

 • Stir in flour and cook for another minute.

 • Slowly whisk in milk. Cook 3–5 minutes, until thickened.

 • Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

 4. Assemble the Bowls

 • Add rice or grain base to each bowl.

 • Top with chicken slices and broccoli.

 • Drizzle generously with creamy garlic sauce and serve warm.
