Just a little piece of my journey...

As life has been taking twists and turns in life, I've realized how much
even in my own life I've had to make adjustments.

Just a little piece of my journey...
I was a tired mom, slept very little (couldn't shut the mind off), and my health was crashing.  I reached out to someone I knew from quite a few years ago from a conference I was at.  She was one of those people that if she spoke, you dropped everything to listen and soaked it in.

She shared with me a little of her journey and I was inspired.  I wanted some of the freedoms she was talking about.  Energy to give back to my family, sleep more than 3hrs a night or at least get quality sleep, and to have better relationships with those around me.

I embarked on this journey Oct 12, 2017 on my 15th Wedding Anniversary.  It was the best decision I made.  I noticed energy I hadn't had since high school.  I even went to a doctor appointment the next week to inquire about a sleep study.  I had lost 9lbs and a few inches.  She looked at me and said what are you doing.  I told her and she told me no on the sleep study.  She told me I was doing what she asks all her patients to do and they refuse.  She said keep going and help 10 more people.  Help 10 more and don't ever stop.

After 5 months, I hit my goal losing roughly 47lbs and 50".  I've been maintaining for the last 4 1/2 years which to me is amazing.  I heard people getting there but do you really stay there?  You can.  I have.

After I thought I had conquered all, inside were layers of things I needed to work through.  Things that we push under a carpet and hope that they will disappear over time.  One by one through the leaders on my team, they mentored me, encouraged me and helped me through.  Mental health is real and I didn't realize how deep things can be.

So as a coach, I know how to achieve goals.  Personal development is so important.  Feeding yourself with positive affirmations.  One of my deepest desires is to help others overcome life's obstacles.  Knowing that you can live a life you were intended to, not what you thought your life had to be.  You can live a better life.  And I want to help you do just that.  I'm building a team that is changing lives one at a time!

Don’t...

Don’t be held captive by your thoughts... #motivationalmonday This hit me like a brick.  For so long I let myself be a prisoner by my thoughts, how I felt when I looked in the mirror, insecurities, lack of self confidence and now I feel like a whole new person!  I’m thankful that Jesus helped me through some of my darkest storms. Even when I feel alone, I know He is right beside me. Not to mention the amazing family I’ve been gifted.  I’m truly blessed.   Life is important. 👉 YOU 👈 are important.   Hope you have an awesome day and Happy New Year!

How important is breakfast...

Eight Reasons to Start Your Day With a Protein-Dense Shake.....  Your mom always told you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Of course, mom’s always right. But does the science back her recommendation up? From an array of studies, scientists have demonstrated the efficacy of breakfast for a variety of health benefits. The number of these benefits also increase if that early morning meal is higher in protein, particularly in the form of a protein-dense shake. Here is a running list that should give you more reasons to start every day with a nutritious, high-protein meal. Or, better yet, a protein-dense meal-replacement shake: 1. Improved Concentration and Memory From large observational trials, mainly targeted toward children, breakfast is shown to be strongly associated with improved concentration and memory (1) Scientists suggest that this is due to breakfast’s immediate impact on blood sugar to fuel young brains (2,3).
