From me to you…

From me to you,
Thank you for being here and supporting my blog!

I have to share this story with you!  After I lost 40lbs and roughly 50”, my life has changed.  I have energy now not only as a wife but mom of 4, teacher, coach, there could be more capes in the closet.  I’ve lost track.  I’ve been maintaining for almost 5 years.  I love to run, ride bike, horseback riding (after 27 years of not being in the saddle), spending time with the family, hiking and whatever else I can think of. I like being together with those I love most.  And not sitting and watching!

What I didn’t realize after my weightloss journey was that this lifestyle was more than that.  Our mental health is so important.  This is why I am a mental health advocate.  As a survivor, I know how real things can be. Life doesn’t just take care of itself by putting things under a carpet, pretending it’ll go away.  It’s still there. One by one, I’ve conquered each one as they came.  And I’m still a working progress.  Now I’m just equipped to handle the things that life throws at us.  I’m leaning on a natural, botanical way that equips me with adaptogens to combat stress, handle life’s changes, healthy aging, and being my best version of my own self.  There are too many that need me and I want to show up the best I can.

How do you show up?  Are you living your best life?  Are you who you want to be remembered in years to come?

I would love to help make your shopping experience great!  Please reach out so I can serve you as your personal coach. ~Lisa Cogswell

Don’t...

Don’t be held captive by your thoughts... #motivationalmonday This hit me like a brick.  For so long I let myself be a prisoner by my thoughts, how I felt when I looked in the mirror, insecurities, lack of self confidence and now I feel like a whole new person!  I’m thankful that Jesus helped me through some of my darkest storms. Even when I feel alone, I know He is right beside me. Not to mention the amazing family I’ve been gifted.  I’m truly blessed.   Life is important. 👉 YOU 👈 are important.   Hope you have an awesome day and Happy New Year!

How important is breakfast...

Eight Reasons to Start Your Day With a Protein-Dense Shake.....  Your mom always told you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Of course, mom’s always right. The number of these benefits also increase if that early morning meal is higher in protein, particularly in the form of a protein-dense shake. Here is a running list that should give you more reasons to start every day with a nutritious, high-protein meal. Or, better yet, a protein-dense meal-replacement shake: 1. Improved Concentration and Memory From large observational trials, mainly targeted toward children, breakfast is shown to be strongly associated with improved concentration and memory (1) Scientists suggest that this is due to breakfast’s immediate impact on blood sugar to fuel young brains (2,3).
