Here’s the complete Nutty Granola Bars recipe with added protein for a nutritious, high-protein snack. Nutty Granola Bars with Protein Makes 16-18 bars Ingredients: 1½ cups raw almonds 2½ cups raw cashews 1½ cups slivered almonds 1½ cups pumpkin seeds 1 cup sunflower seeds ½ to ¾ cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored) ¾ cup maple syrup (add 1-2 tbsp more if needed) ½ cup chia seeds 2/3 cup dark chocolate chips (melted with ½ tsp coconut oil) 1-2 tbsp almond milk (optional, if mixture is too dry) Instructions: 1. Preheat Oven. Set oven to 325°F (163°C). 2. Toast the Nuts & Seeds -Spread the almonds, cashews, slivered almonds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds on a baking sheet.   Sometimes you have to fall to know where you stand. It was 16 years ago I chose to be a stay at home mom.    It has been my dream job. Some moments taught me more than any job outside the home could. I felt like I wasn’t contributing in a way that I could help lighten the load with the monthly bills.  It was draining at times. Though I knew the precious time with my babies was worth more than money could ever buy; let alone the Lord always made a way. But the worst of times made me open my mind for the first time ever to try to learn different ways to make an income while being able to stay at home.    Some worked, while others it was like dropping something into a deep sea with no return in sight. Somethings just were not meant to be. I stand here today to tell you looking back on those worst of times have actually created 18 years later the BEST of times yet.
