Starting my day...

Starting my day out right...world history, herbal tea and some laughter.  I love teaching my kids.  The freedom to teach the little hands I’ve been blessed with in my life, ability to work from home while getting paid when I sleep and to take vacations whenever we need it vs when we have to.  I’m blessed. #homesweethome #homeschoolmom #livingthedream #noturningback #faithofamustardseed #blessedlife #worthitall   #changeyourlife

Will you climb or will you stay where you are...

It’s Fall. Days are growing shorter.  Sunshine seems to be very little these days.  Clouds with minimal sunshine trying to peak through.  It feels so somber and challenging looking for that ray of hope. Sometimes we have to make our own sunshine.  What makes you happy?  Has something come your way that has derailed you?  Maybe discouragement, disappointment, despair....whatever else it might be?  Are you going to let it define you or break you?  Will you continue to climb the mountain or will you stay in the valley?  Though climbing seems so exhausting and tiresome, the reward is great. Though life has struggles and trials, they make us who we are today.  Though they can be no fun at all, it’s needful.  “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” 1

Are you ready for your touchdown?

Are you ready for your touchdown? Sometimes we get up thinking it’s a new day, new start then life happens.  Then you think ok, I’ll try tomorrow. Tomorrow comes...same thing happens.  Occasionally you get a day or two where you achieve what you set in motion but it’s not enough to make it stick. What I’m learning is you have to set you mind to what you want.  Let your why outweigh everything that comes your way.  A football team never scores a point if they don’t focus on that finish line.  It takes more than just you to get the ball there...it takes a team.  I’m thankful for my teammates that have encouraged me when I’ve wanted to give up and sit on the bench.  Can’t sit on the bench...you’ll never make that touchdown.   Let your why be your motivation.  Don’t quit!  Keep going!  Wake up and stay focused.  You got this! #dontquit #beher #wakeup #yourwhy #vision #dreams #goals #touchdown #goforit #motivationalmonday

Life is not measured...

Life is not measured... I listened to Rachel Hollis on a podcast day before yesterday.  “Change your life”. It was very much needed.  She mentioned people that deal with anxiety, depression, etc often struggle because they haven’t moved their body.    When you move your body, you change your mind.  Honestly it is so true.  I notice it with running too.  It puts you in a place where you can meditate and evaluate how life is going.  It often brings on inspiring thoughts.  Guess that’s why I’m starting to get a love for running.  We’ll roll with it.  New beginnings is what we’ll call it 🤫 Another thing...pain is given. Suffering is a choice.  I’ll let that sink in. Spend your day looking out for things to fill your gratitude bucket.  Think of 5 things daily to be grateful for.  Im challenging you!   Get a journal and start writing them down daily.  Feel free to share them under this post. “Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but the MOMENTS that take our breat

Exact opposite...

Finding your sweet spot... Most know I’ve been really focusing on my dreams and making things happen.  I’ve been listening to John C Maxwell. Such an amazing leader and he encourages me to step out of my comfort zone and learn how to be a better person. One of the things he said was, “ Put your quotes in your well. Fill the well up.” Often we spend so much time listening to our thoughts.  Our thoughts that tare us down.  Thoughts that tell us we’ll never achieve the things we dream. That we are doomed from anything changing.  He also said keep growing and you will have something to write about. It will help keep your game. I remember with the different jobs I’ve had, there was some affirmations but it mostly all came when you had to review your performance. I use to get so anxious...thinking what could go wrong. Thankfully it’s the exact opposite. I have a huge support system. Someone who prays for and with me.  When I ask how can I achieve my goals gives me the tools to succee

A totally different body...

Love Mindy’s story!  Can’t wait to go to Disney too!! “WALT DISNEY WORLD FOUR YEARS APART TO THE DAY!!! Oct 2, 2015 and oct 2, 2019  I’m at Walt Disney World and we travel a lot this week every year being it’s our kids fall break. We have come to Florida 6 times this very week and it just so happens I was at magic kingdom 4 years ago this very day. Same great park, totally different body.  I’ve lost 91 pounds and it’s amazing how much better my body feels.  I used to hurt by now in the day. Achy legs, sore ankles and just plain exhausted. This year I’ve got energy for days, I’m wearing SANDALS and no sore ankles. My body feels amazing. Wow what a difference these pictures are!!! I’m so grateful I said yes to this superfood!  I’ve taken Disney back! Here’s to so many more Disney trips!!!” Are you ready to take back your life? #itseasy #quick #savemoney #lesscravings #reallife

A little selfcare ...

A little selfcare ... Be sure to do a little selfcare.  I love listening to John C Maxwell. Thankful for this “Power of 5” study.  Sometimes when you think you’ve got it all down, you learn that you don’t.  Be prepared to learn something new each day.  Be inspired...

Life is a spinning staircase...

Every day we get up thinking today is a new day and I'm going to conquer it.  I'm gonna smile, life smells like roses, and I'm going to soar like an eagle.  The sun is shining and the grass is green. Then reality hits...kids are ready to get going with school and you are just pulling yourself together.  I don't have the luxury of relying on coffee like most.  Some days I have all I can do to stand the smell.  Though it's strange because the mocha shake I have I love and I think it has a small hint of coffee.  I am very strange and peculiar.  I'm ok with that though.  It's what makes me, me.  AND...I love it!  Then you have people who you care about that you get the pleasure of pouring into them.  Honestly it fuels me.  I love helping others.  That's what makes my job so amazing!  Getting to homeschool my kids, work in the cracks of my time, love on my kids, cook dinner, bike rides, boat rides, trips to the grocery store, visit with friends...Who gets p

A tired mom...

Approaching my 2yr anniversary with my lifestyle change.  I can hardly believe it’s been that long. I remember how I felt on the inside, tired, no energy and just had given up. For those who don’t know, I was 181lbs and being 5’1 that’s a lot.  It was a cardio workout just putting my shoes on.  Having kids and not being able to go when they wanted to was hard.  I needed a nap 😂 Now I ran my first marathon this year.  Placed 9th out of 15 in my age bracket.  That was huge since I said I’d never do any of those races.  I can play tag with my kids.  One of the things I love doing is biking from downtown home and that means the grand hotel hill.  I get all kinds of encouragement as I’m going up it and it empowers me to keep going even when I want to give up. I’m pretty persistent and don’t give up easy.  I have goals that I’m achieving and so many more to inspire. You can be anything you want to be and you can go anywhere you want to go.  Get laser focused and go for it.  Don’t l
